The CIO updates provide an overview of Enterprise Technology accomplishments and ongoing efforts, highlighting projects, services, and initiatives that demonstrate value and impact for university leaders and stakeholders.
December 2025 focuses on two areas that matter for visibility and adoption: rapid early uptake of Canva by students and continued audience growth across ET’s digital communication channels.
Canva for Students sees rapid adoption, with faculty and staff launch planned for spring
Canva gives students an accessible design platform for presentations, flyers, social content, video, and other creative work, helping build digital literacy and collaboration across disciplines.
The reporting period showed 15,153 student accounts created, 79,000-plus designs created, and more than 144,000 designs published.
Enterprise Technology plans to launch Canva for faculty and staff in March 2026. Student access will remain free, while licensing fees will apply to faculty and staff.
Email and digital channels show strong engagement and expanding reach
ET Informational sent 8 emails with a 51 percent average open rate and a 6 percent average click rate, while UT Works sent 3 emails with a 33 percent average open rate.
LinkedIn generated 4,125 impressions, 78 reactions, and grew to 327 followers, adding 11 new followers during the period.
The Enterprise Technology website recorded 12,457 sessions from 9,729 unique users, alongside additional reach from Instagram and YouTube.
